Clear major/minor chords work best. Uncertain input won’t change the harmony.

03 / ROOM TO GROW

Your songbook

Start with a practice loop or bring your own chord chart. Jam follows the chart you choose; it doesn’t identify songs by ear.

A BAND, WITH A FEW BOUNDARIES

Find your groove.

  1. Plug in headphones. Speaker sound can confuse the listener. Keep this page visible while playing.
  2. Start listening. Strum clear, regular beats for a few seconds. Tempo estimates need at least six attacks and may read half or double time; tap or adjust the slider to correct them.
  3. Start the band. You get four count-in beats. Guitar mode follows stable major/minor chord estimates. Chord changes take a few analysis frames and land on future notes.
  4. For singing, choose a chart. Jam can estimate a sung note, but a melody alone doesn’t uniquely determine a chord. Pick a chart or a fixed chord for the band.

The band uses synthesized drum, bass and guitar-like sounds. Listening is experimental signal analysis, not an AI song-recognition model. Busy strumming, noise and complex chords can fool it. A chart with manual or tapped tempo is the most predictable mode.

Private by design. Audio is analyzed on this device, never stored or sent to a server. Charts you add are saved in this browser only; export a backup. Stop releases the microphone. Changing tabs pauses the session.

Start audio to see engine timing. Reported output latency is not the full microphone-to-accompaniment delay.
